Getting started with Product Pages

Last updated: June 19, 2026

Product Pages is the BetterReviews dashboard that turns your reviews into product-page content — AI summaries, FAQs, “best for” labels, and SEO descriptions, all generated from real customer language and synced to your Shopify product metafields.

Plan availability

Product Pages is on the Growth, Scale, and Enterprise plans. The Starter plan ($19/mo) covers AI-guided review collection, email requests, widgets, moderation, and the weekly digest. Growth ($79/mo) adds the Product Pages dashboard.

If you’re on Starter and open the Product page content card in Studio, you’ll see an upgrade prompt. Existing optimizations on your storefront keep rendering even if you downgrade — but you won’t be able to generate or publish new ones.

What it does

For each product, Product Pages can generate:

  • AI review summaries — a 2-3 sentence honest paragraph at the top of your product page, refreshed as new reviews land
  • AI-generated FAQs — questions and answers extracted from what real customers asked and reviewers answered
  • “Best for” labels — use cases pulled from review conversations (“commuting,” “weightlifting,” “gifts”)
  • SEO descriptions — your product description rewritten in the language customers actually search for
  • Editor — review every AI generation, edit before publishing, and publish per-product or in bulk

Outputs land in your Shopify product metafields and render on your product pages via theme blocks (the same Liquid blocks that handle your review widget).

Open Product page content

In the Shopify admin, open BetterReviews and click Studio in the navigation, then open the Product page content card. You’ll land on the products table with optimization status per row:

  • Not optimized yet — no optimization run for this product
  • Optimizing — AI is processing
  • Needs review — a draft is ready for you to review
  • Optimized — content is live on your storefront

Optimize your first product

  1. Click any product row to open its preview.
  2. Click Optimize product page on the preview. The dashboard runs the AI optimization (usually 30-90 seconds) and updates the status to Optimizing while it works.
  3. When the draft is ready, the preview re-renders with Edit optimization as the primary action. Click it to open the editor.
  4. Review the draft — you’ll see the AI summary, FAQs, “best for” labels, and SEO description.
  5. Edit any block inline if you want to tweak before publishing.
  6. Click Publish when you’re satisfied. The content syncs to Shopify metafields immediately.

If the draft isn’t quite right, click Re-optimize on the preview to run a fresh pass.

What it costs

Product-page optimization draws from your shared AI credit wallet — the same credits that power review conversations. Publishing a product page costs 5 credits per product; generating, previewing, and re-optimizing drafts are free. Re-publishing the same product in the same billing period doesn’t cost extra. To keep generation in check, you can keep up to a set number of products optimized-but-unpublished per period — publish one to unlock the next, or wait for the period to reset. If you run out of credits, turn on auto-recharge or upgrade to keep publishing.

What if generation fails?

The AI sometimes produces empty results — usually when there aren’t enough reviews to extract content from. See troubleshooting for the common cases and how to fix them. You can also edit AI content before publishing if a draft is close-but-not-quite right.
